Purpose: The Community Organizing Residency (COR), a six-month paid residency, recruits and trains organizers from different faith backgrounds through partnerships with labor, congregation-based and community organizing groups in New York City, Chicago, the Twin Cities, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Seeking to develop organizers and strengthen organizing groups, Islamic, Christian, and Jewish organizations created the Community Organizing Residency.
