How we do we take a broad or complicated issue and "cut" it into a campaign, framing it in way that it resonates within our communities? Perhaps you are a new organizing and are trying to gain skills or maybe you are a veteran organizer who wants to dust off your skills as you turn your attention to a new campaign or issue area. In either case, join your colleagues for this informative conversation. Both paid-staff and community leaders will be invited to share their successful techniques as well as ongoing challenges.

"Affordable Housing." The phrase seems plain enough, but it doesn't always mean what people think it does. The Affordable Housing Toolkit, created by Center for Urban Pedagogy, helps communities answer the all-important question: "Affordable to whom?" This set of activities breaks down affordable housing policy into easy-to-understand visuals. Join the workshop and : Look at income demographics, rents, and proposed developments in your neighborhood. Learn about affordable housing programs and who's eligible for them. This training will also have a train-the-trainer component, providing attendees with instructions on how to run a workshop utilizing the toolkit. This workshop will be appropriate for both organizing staff and community members. Conducted by Center for Urban Pedagogy
