Brooklyn Community Foundation Grant

Purpose: The Brooklyn Community Foundation generally supports exceptional local nonprofits that work in the arts, community development, human services, youth development, education and the environment.

Letters of Inquiry are being accepted now through January 31, 2012. Please note recent changes to their grant application calendar.

Organizations applying for a grant from the Brooklyn Community Foundation must be classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and as public charities under Section 509(a) of that Code. Fiscally sponsored organizations may also apply. Your organization need not be based in Brooklyn; however grants from the Brooklyn Community Foundation must directly benefit Brooklyn neighborhoods and/or Brooklyn residents.
