Bailey Farms is a rustic, private, serene retreat and conference center located in Westchester County, New York on 17 secluded wooded acres just 45 minutes north of New York City.  The “Farm” was founded in 1990 to provide a peaceful haven principally for nonprofit groups to hold meetings, workshops and conferences. It offers a private and relaxing atmosphere with affordable accommodations to support the work of diverse organizations that foster individual, community and social betterment.  Available for day and evening meetings for 35 people, and can accommodate overnight retreats for up to 20 guests.

The Community Church of New York has two locations with rooms able to accommodate as many as 550 people to rooms for only 10.  It is available for public or private events.  Certain non-profit groups may be eligible for special rates.  It also offers a Bed and Break, Off~Park with a minimum 2-3 night stay based on availability.

Corporate Suites has six locations with over thirty meeting and conference room spaces. They have locations in central Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.

Their high-tech meeting rooms are fully equipped and wired, with video conferencing capabilities available. They are available for rent by the hour, and their staff may handle catering arrangements. After business hours are available. Perfect for business or organization meetings. Non-profit groups are eligible for discounts.

Covenant House New York offers an auditorium that seats 700, six classrooms varying in size and seating capacity is 50-70.  They also have a gym with a basketball court and seating for 400.  Catering is also available through their Ezekiel’s Café.  The money from the rentals goes back to their programs.

Frost Valley's has a number of facilities to choose from, it offers large meeting rooms that seat 400 and small breakout rooms.  Large group sites are located close to dining and program facilities. The Mariandale Retreat and Conference Center is a Christian retreat center located in the Hudson Valley, 35 miles from New York City.  The Center welcomes nonprofit groups for day or overnight workshops, conferences, and retreats.  The Center includes four meeting rooms, dormitory accommodations for 44 guests, TV/VCRs, projections and screens.

The Mertz Gilmore Foundation’s conference room, located on the third floor of its walk-up brownstone in Manhattan, is available for meetings of nonprofit groups.  The conference room is available free of charge during business hours:  9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Use on weekday, evenings, and weekends depends on the availability of staff members to be on the premises.


Nathan Cummings Foundation

The Nathan Cummings Foundation space includes a conference room, boardroom, and atrium space for receptions, screens for presentations, a serving pantry, and a storage room.  The space is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Arrangements could be made to have space available at other times, but on a very limited basis.


Neighborhood Preservation Center

The Neighborhood Preservation Center is a space where the public is welcome to convene, strategize, and exchange information through its various services: public meeting rooms, temporary and virtual offices, and a resource referral service.  The Center has three meeting spaces for organizational meetings.  Each room holds a maximum of 20 people.  Two of the rooms may be combined to form one large room.  Audiovisual equipment and kitchen facilities are also available.


New York Regional Association of Grantmakers

The New York Regional Association of Grantmakers offers a 440-square-foot conference room that holds up to 50 people, as well as adjacent breakout space, to grantees of their member organizations.  The space is available weekdays (except holidays) between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Its facilities are free to members and rates for member grantees are $250 for 4 hours or less and $400 for more than 4 hours. The ample spaces of the Paradise Theater feature a private party room and a bi-level grand lobby and foyer, are available to both individuals and organizations for private parties and functions.  It offers a private ballroom for parties of up to 100 persons or a variety of choice spaces in the grand foyer and VIP areas in the main ballroom.  Its 2,500 square foot kitchen, party planners, and catering menus help pull off a successful party, company meeting or other private event.

St. John’s University Manhattan Campus is a convenient alternative meeting facility located in lower Manhattan.  It offers 21 classrooms and a 128-seat auditorium for half-day, full-day, weekly, and long-term rental.  The technology package includes Internet access, LCD projectors, VCRs, microphones, screens, overhead projectors, flip charts, and PowerPoint capabilities in most rooms.  Limited overnight accommodations are available from mid-May to mid-August.

The Support Center for Nonprofit Management offers a training room which seats 50 and a conference room for 25.  It provides two easels with flip charts and markers, hot and cold water.  For a fee you can rent a TV/VCR and/or overhead projector.

Trinity Conference Center is a private conference center that exclusively serves nonprofit groups.  Trinity offers a 125-seat theatre, six meeting and event rooms, three breakout areas, overnight accommodations for up to 84 guests, audio/visual equipment, internet access, and on-site recreational facilities.

The Warwick Center, located 55 miles from New York City, serves congregations of all faiths, organizations, schools, and associations.  The facility is available for conferences, seminars, weekend retreats, day trips and other group programs.  The conference center offers seven meeting rooms, a 200-seat theatre, overnight accommodations for 250 guests, and in-house AV equipment.
